Hungary must continue to support “indigenous national minorities” in Europe, the (ruling Fidesz) head of parliament’s national cohesion committee said on Wednesday.
Parliament on Wednesday is debating a resolution on Hungary joining a solidarity movement in support of the Minority SafePack European citizens’ initiative, Károly Pánczél said.
The European Commission rejected SafePack despite 1.1 million valid signatures collected in support of the initiative in eleven countries, he noted.
